Why are innocent animals treated with cruelty, and slaugtered by the millions every year?

Animal Cruelty:

Did you know that the meat, dairy and eggs produced here in the United States is from an environmentally destructive confined animal feeding operations (CAFOs). Animals are in unsanitary and inhumane conditions, and pumped full of antibiotics. Remember before eating or buying animal products these innocent animals were raised in agony and torture. When the animal was executed it experienced sorrow and terror.
