Food Alternatives
If you don’t want to eat foods made with the milk of animals for ethical reasons, or have allergies there is an all vegan cheese shop known as Vromage located on 7988 Sunset Boulevard, in Los Angeles, near La Cienega. So if your ever in Los Angeles, California make sure to visit. Vromage has a selection of vegan cheeses and sandwiches. If you did not know vegan cheeses are made with nuts milks. Youssef Fakhouri, the owner of Vromage uses nut milk and olive oil. He took on the challenge, and experimented with pistachios, macadamias, and pine nuts. He makes milk from the nuts, and uses traditional cheese making techniques. Like dairy cheese makers say cheese tastes different based on where and what the animals ate. Youssef, the owner, says that his cheeses taste according to where and how the nuts were grown. The cheeses are good. You could order a macadamia, cashew, and pine nut Brie served on a baguette. The cheeses will cost anywhere from $2.40 to $3 an ounce, and they have eight varieties available. I think we definitely need a Vromage here is Stockton, California.
